Meeting the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons training objectives, Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry offers postgraduate training opportunities through SWOMEN to Schulich residents and to visiting residents through the Visiting Elective Program. SWOMEN provides tremendous opportunities to experience community rotations in small to midsized communities throughout Southwestern Ontario. Training encompasses six core specialties - Anaesthesia, General Surgery, Internal Medicine, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Paediatrics, and Psychiatry. Opportunities for sub-specialty rotations also exist including PGY-3 Family Medicine training in Emergency Medicine and Anaesthesia. SWOMEN postgraduate training offers not only outstanding educational experiences, but affords residents the ability to discover and investigate practice in a wide variety of settings.
